In 2014 I started an Airbnb business and bought a 3 family home in Brooklyn, NY while I was working for a medical device company in the cervical cancer industry.

Fast forward a few years, then COVID happened. Local governments closed down Airbnb and legally allowed squatters to live in my home for almost 2 years.
What happened next was devastating...
I lost everything I worked for since I was 12 years old.
I struggled to pay my rent, relationships around me fell apart, my mental health was not in a good spot, and I started losing hope and my hair!
I was stuck in between a rock and a hard place. I needed to make a change... I was not happy, drinking too much and hiding behind a smile.
I didn't pay the mortgage for almost 2 years...
I had 15 years of corporate sales experience from marketing platforms to cervical cancer equipment.
I was forced to figure something out because I wasn't going to have a place to live after my savings account was depleted...
After finding Go High Level and watching every YouTube known to man around building an 'Agency'
I took a crack at it.
And failed miserably.
I landed a few clients who I randomly found, but ignored the red flags. I knew these clients weren't going to make me rich, but I needed the cash just to get by.
I learned very quickly I should have went with my gut feeling because they were the worst clients to deal with.
And what happened next changed my life.
I remember what my boss had told me, ..."People don't want to be SOLD to, they want to BUY!"

I sat in my office chair the day I spent my last dime wondering why I was so successful at my corporate jobs, but couldn't seem to get good clients for myself...
I didn't have a choice, I lost everything and needed to make a change... fast.
I started documenting my meetings that I used to have with doctors... then it hit me...
I've never sold a thing in my life!
What I was doing was providing a solution to problems and positioning myself as a consultant.
I was having regular conversations walking my clients through a simple 3 step process to convince them to buy.
What if I could copy that 3 step process and get clients to want to pay me?...
After over a year of struggling trying to 'figure it out', I decided that all those "Red Flags 🚩" I felt when speaking to cheap clients who complained but still paid me $97 a month - did nothing but complain and cause more of a headache.
So I fired them.
It was a very hard decision because my ego was in the way. I realized I didn't have a business, I had a hobby that was NOT going to make me any sort of money that I wanted to enjoy the life I wanted to have.
I watched every single YouTube video on prospecting, playing the numbers game - and calling businesses, but it wasn't exciting for me trying to convince people they needed my expertise.
I didn't really want to waste time cold calling...
And I knew, 100% - that I was smart enough to land clients with my 2 college degrees, professional corporate experience, and the Go High Level platform. Surely, there were businesses out there that would pay me...
Then it hit me...

Banks didn't care I was missing payments.

And going back to corporate where I was just a number and easily replaceable was not an option for me.
I needed to be in control of my income, of my life, and have a PREDICTABLE, secure framework to live my life, the way I wanted.
And then, it dawned on me,
my own agency is the safest route...
My mentor invited me to go sailing with him from San Diego to Mexico down the Baja.
And so I got to documenting how I could get the clients to want to BUY rather than selling and convincing them they needed my services...
I went over and over it again in my mind...
"Where can I find the right clients?"
"What am I going to offer them?"
"What niche could pay me a minimum of $10k?"
"How am I going to handle fulfillment and onboarding?"
I literally spent 3 months on a sailboat in the middle of the ocean no longer thinking, writing, contemplating, and planning. I focused on taking actionable steps one by one and perfecting that process before moving to the next step.
I had so many limiting beliefs holding me back for so long.
I was AFRAID to get clients because
I didn't know how I would do all the work...
That thought kept ringing in my ears... I finally came to my senses and eventually decided to just focus on the sales part, get the clients and I would figure the fulfillment part out.
I started to think out of the box...
I focused on the social media platforms these businesses are hanging out at and started plopping myself right in front of them. I kept doubling down, changing my messaging and landing meetings left and right.
I started charging clients $250 to sit on a Zoom call with me for 45 minutes.
Every time I was sitting at the computer I was getting paid whether or not the client hired me to build their automations, AI chatbots, missed call text back campaigns, database reactivations etc. - or not.
